A bel is a climbing vine, and bel mehndi is a design built from one: a flowing creeper of leaves and buds that winds over the hand. These nine show a single creeper from the wrist to the ring finger, two vines twisting up the side of the hand, and a fine vine of tiny leaves spiralling up each finger. Type a change, such as a rose vine or both hands, and the flowing line carries it.
- a simple design for a first henna at home
- a wrist and hand design for a festival
- a reference to bring to a henna artist
Frequently asked questions
- What are the three layouts?
- A single leafy creeper winding from the wrist to the ring finger, two vines twisting up the side of the hand, and a fine vine spiralling up each finger.
- What is the difference between the three styles?
- Bold black uses thick black outlines with large leaves and solid buds. Fine detail uses a fine flowing line with tiny leaves and tendrils. Henna brown draws the vine as a reddish-brown stroke.
- Can I ask for a rose vine or a design on both hands?
- Yes. Type the change you want; it is a request, and the picture may differ from these samples.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
