Reading 1L blends
Reading 2R blends
Reading 3S blends

Teachers of early readers use blends charts to practise two consonants said together. The three charts cover l-blends such as bl in block, r-blends such as br in brush, and s-blends such as sk in skate. Six blends sit on each chart, each beside a word and its picture. The styles are bright flat, crayon hand-drawn and boho pastel. Type a twist, such as ending blends, and the same chart can take it.

Frequently asked questions

How many blends are on each chart?
Six, each in its own box, with the blend in large letters and a word beside its picture.
Which blends are on the s chart?
Sk, sn, sp, st, sw and sm, with skate, snail, spoon, star, swing and smoke.
Does the chart show ending blends?
The sample does not. Ending blends are a direction, which is a request, so the chart can differ from the sample.
What is the difference between the styles?
Bright flat uses clean shapes, crayon hand-drawn looks like a marker poster, and boho pastel is calm and muted.

About toile

This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
