Rangoli for Chhath, drawn at the doorstep or on the ghat during the four days of the festival, and used for school rangoli competitions. Each design is seen from above, built round the sun, the bamboo soop of offerings, or the kalash. Choose the bold outline to colour in, the dot grid to join by hand, or the fine template to copy in powder or chalk. Type a different motif, such as sugarcane, and the same treatments will carry it.
- a doorstep design for the Chhath days
- a school rangoli competition sheet
- a practice sheet before drawing in powder
- a colouring page for children
Frequently asked questions
- Are these printable?
- Yes. Each is a black line drawing on pure white, with no shading or grey tones, so it prints clean in black ink.
- What is the dot grid for?
- The dot grid shows small dots at the grid points with loops drawn between them, so you can join the dots and copy the design by hand.
- Can I use these for a rangoli on the floor?
- Yes, as a guide: the fine template is a symmetrical copy sheet for powder, flowers or chalk, and the outline versions show the shapes to fill.
- Can I ask for a different motif?
- Yes. A request such as sugarcane or a square border is a direction for the design, not a promised result.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
