Reading 3First and last

The sign a child holds on the front step for the first-day photo, then keeps for the album. Each sign has its heading spelled exactly and blanks for the grade, the teacher's name and what the child wants to be. Choose chalkboard, crayon or minimal. Type a different theme, such as kindergarten or pink and gold, and the three looks follow the request.

  • a first-day photo on the front step
  • a keepsake for the school album
  • a grade sign for a class photo
  • a last-day sign to match the first

Frequently asked questions

What blanks are on the signs?
The grade sign has blanks for the grade and the date. The about-me sign has blanks for age, teacher and future job. The first and last sign has grade and date blanks on each half.
Can a child fill it in by hand?
Yes. The blanks are empty lines and panels, left clear for writing on the printed sheet.
How do the styles differ?
Chalkboard is a framed green board with chalk lettering, crayon is a child's drawing with wobbly lettering, and minimal is one thin rule on cream.
Can I ask for a different theme?
Yes. Type a theme as a direction; the design follows the request and is not a guaranteed result.

About toile

This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
