Small businesses and people giving an experience print a gift certificate and write the amount, recipient and giver by hand. Each certificate has a decorative border and blank fields for to, from, amount and expiry. The nine pictures show a salon voucher, a shop voucher and a gift for a shared outing, in an engraved navy and gold border, a watercolour floral, and a modern black-on-white layout. Type a different gift or theme and the frame follows.
- a spa or salon gift for a friend
- a voucher for a small business
- a personal experience gift such as a day out
- a birthday or thank-you gift
Frequently asked questions
- Are the amount and expiry date already filled in?
- No. Those fields are blank and labelled, so you write the amount, the recipient and the expiry date by hand on each certificate.
- Does a certificate carry a real value or code?
- No. The page has blank boxes for a serial and a value, and it carries no code or account. Whether a certificate is honoured is set by the business that issues it.
- What is the difference between the three styles?
- Formal border is an engraved navy and gold on ivory, with fine guilloche lines. Watercolour floral is blush, sage and white with delicate hand lettering. Modern minimal is black on white with one coral accent.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
