Numbered step sheets for drawing the moon, from a thin crescent to a cratered full moon. The crescent is made by overlapping a second circle and erasing the overlap. The full moon sheet draws craters with rims, and the sleeping moon is a cartoon crescent with a face and a nightcap. Type a different subject, such as a half moon, and the same panels build it.

- a sketchbook page for practising circles
Frequently asked questions
- How is the crescent moon drawn?
- The sheet draws a circle, overlaps a second circle on it, then erases the overlap. Small stars go around it.
- What is the difference between the three styles?
- Classic is a plain black outline. Guide shapes starts from light gray circles and ovals that the black line is traced over. New lines in red shows the lines of each step in red over the black ones.
- Can I print these?
- Yes. Each is a portrait page on plain white, with flat line art and no shading.
- Can I ask for a different subject?
- Yes. A typed subject is a request for the same step-sheet format, not a guaranteed result.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
