Jaal means net. Jaal mehndi covers the hand in a fine lattice of repeating diamonds, ogees or circles, with a small motif in each cell. Brides choose it for full coverage that still looks open. These nine show a diamond lattice over the back of the hand, an ogee net running to the fingertips, and a lotus set in a net. Type a change, such as peacock cells, and the lattice carries it.
- a bridal design with full coverage of the hand
- a net pattern to show a henna artist
- a wrist to fingertip design for a family event
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between the diamond and ogee nets?
- The diamond net is a straight fine lattice with a dot in each diamond. The ogee net is made of flowing curves with a tiny four-petal flower in each cell.
- What is the difference between the three styles?
- Bold black uses a bold lattice with a solid motif in each cell. Fine detail uses a fine lattice with a tiny flower or dot in each cell. Henna brown draws it as a reddish-brown stroke.
- Can I ask for a change, such as both hands?
- Yes. Type the change you want, such as palm side or both hands; it is a request, and the picture may differ from these samples.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
