Bookmarks a school librarian prints for Read Across America Day in early March, three or four to a sheet, to cut out and give to every pupil. The nine sheets show stacks of colourful books, a reading log with ten rows for titles and a tick box for each, and a green bookworm climbing out of a book under 'Keep Reading'. Ask for a different theme, such as dinosaurs or space, and the same bookmark layout carries it.
- a library giveaway in early March
- a classroom reading incentive
- a prize card for a reading challenge
- a bookmark for a home reading habit
Frequently asked questions
- How many bookmarks are on a sheet?
- Three or four, with dashed cut lines between them.
- Is there room for a pupil's name?
- The bookworm sheet has a ruled line for a name at the foot.
- What are the three styles?
- Storybook is soft pencil and gouache in red, mustard and teal. Bold flat uses thick outlines and primary colours. Line only is clean black drawing that pupils can colour in.
- Can I ask for a different theme?
- Yes. A theme such as dinosaurs or space is a request, and the result is not a promised picture.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
