A red envelope template is a flat sheet to print, cut and fold into an envelope. Hongbao are given in Chinese homes at the Lunar New Year, li xi in Vietnam. Each sheet shows the face, flaps and fold marks on one page: solid lines to cut, dashed to fold. The envelopes are a hongbao with a gold fu character, a Year of the Goat envelope and a li xi with apricot blossom. Type another motif to change it.
- Money gifts for children at the Lunar New Year
- Li xi for family and friends in Vietnam
- Staff or client gifts at the New Year
- A craft activity in a classroom
Frequently asked questions
- How do I make an envelope from the sheet?
- Print the sheet, cut along the solid lines, fold along the dashed lines and glue the side and bottom flaps. Tuck the top flap in to close it.
- What is the difference between the three styles?
- Gold foil uses fine gold linework on deep red, papercut uses bold cut-out shapes on warm cream paper, and minimal is a flat red face with one thin gold rule on white.
- Does each sheet print on one page?
- Yes. Each sheet is a single flat page with a clean margin, ready to print and cut.
- Can I change the picture on the envelope?
- Yes. Type another motif or colour, such as blue and gold; the result may differ from the sample, and the flaps and fold marks stay as drawn.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
