Shape tracing pages help preschool children learn the basic shapes by tracing them. One page repeats a circle with a start arrow; another shows circle, square, triangle, rectangle, star and heart, each labelled; a third builds a house and a tree from shapes. Use them in a preschool class or at home for a first lesson in shapes. Type a different shape, such as a diamond or an oval, and the same three styles carry it.
- a preschool shapes lesson
- a home activity on a rainy day
- a shape display on a classroom wall
- a first shape sheet before drawing
Frequently asked questions
- Which shapes are on the sheets?
- The one-shape page uses the circle. The set page shows circle, square, triangle, rectangle, star and heart.
- Can I ask for a different shape?
- Yes. Type a shape, such as a diamond, as a direction. It is a request, and the samples show the shapes as they are.
- What is the difference between the styles?
- Black ink is plain black lines for printing. Bright colour adds red start dots, green arrows and coloured fills. Exercise book has pale blue lines and pencil-grey guides.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
