Zentangle doodles are shapes filled with repeated patterns, drawn stroke by stroke as a calm sketchbook practice. The nine sheets show a feather divided into pattern bands, five spheres each filled with a curved pattern, and a sampler of eight pattern strips. Type another shape, such as a leaf, and the same patterns are drawn into it. That is a request, not a guaranteed result.
- a calm sketchbook practice page
- a pattern study to copy stroke by stroke
- a fine-liner warm-up sheet
- a card or bookmark border
Frequently asked questions
- What is on the nine sheets?
- A feather, five spheres and a sampler of eight pattern strips, each drawn in fine liner, bold marker and white on black.
- What is a zentangle pattern?
- A small repeated mark, such as scales, dots, waves or checkers, filled inside a shape. The sheets show the patterns already drawn, so you can copy them.
- Can I ask for a different shape?
- Yes. Type a shape such as a leaf, a heart or a mandala, and the patterns are drawn into it. The result is a request, not a guaranteed match.
- Is the white on black sheet a different set of patterns?
- No. It is the same three shapes drawn in white gel-pen lines on a solid black page.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
