A zipper pouch is the classic project for learning to sew in a zip, and it ends up holding pencils, make-up or chargers. These are pattern sheets: the outer and lining pieces drawn to size, the zip placed along the top edge, and the steps numbered in small diagrams. The three pouches are a flat pouch, a boxed pouch with cut-out corners, and a long pencil case. Type a different use and it is a request, not a guaranteed picture.
- a first project for learning to insert a zip
- a pencil case for school
- a make-up bag for travel
- a charger pouch for a bag
Frequently asked questions
- Does the sheet show how to fit the zip?
- Yes. The zip is placed along the top edge, and the flat pouch has four numbered steps for sewing it in.
- What makes a boxed pouch stand up?
- The corners are cut out, then pinched and sewn to make a flat base. The second picture marks where to pinch.
- Are the pieces at real size?
- They are drawn to size with the seam allowance dashed around each piece. Check the printed scale before you cut.
- Can I ask for a wristlet?
- Yes, by typing it as a direction. That is a request; the three pouches above are what the pack shows.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
