An encounter card is drawn when the party travels or camps, so a road is never empty. This pack shows a road encounter card with lines for creatures, terrain and a twist, a random encounter table numbered 1 to 12, and a sheet of four blank cards. Each comes as parchment, ink line or storybook. Type a setting, such as desert or a night camp, and the card keeps its labels and table.
- a card drawn on each day of travel
- a roll table kept behind the game screen
- a blank set for encounters you write yourself
- a camp night card for a long trek
Frequently asked questions
- What do the nine pictures show?
- Three readings in three styles: a single road encounter card, a random encounter table numbered 1 to 12, and a sheet of four blank cards.
- How does the table work?
- It is numbered 1 to 12 with a header reading Roll d12, and the right-hand column is left empty for the encounter at each number.
- Can I print the blank cards?
- Yes. The four blank cards sit in a 2 by 2 grid with dashed cut lines, each headed Encounter with an empty title line.
- What is the difference between the styles?
- Parchment is an aged, hand-inked card. Ink line is plain black with no fills. Storybook is a soft watercolour vignette in muted green, russet and sky blue.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
