Needlepoint covers stiff canvas with wool or cotton thread, one stitch at a time, for cushions, belts, key fobs and wall pieces. A chart puts one square on the canvas for each stitch. These nine cover a lemon cushion, a bargello flame and a key fob. Each comes as a colour chart, a symbol chart, or a hand-coloured sheet. Type a different motif and the same canvas grid carries it.
- a cushion front
- a key fob
- a belt or strap panel
- a wall piece with a motif
Frequently asked questions
- What is bargello?
- A needlepoint style in which long stitches rise and fall in waves of graded colour, as in the flame chart.
- Does the chart show which stitch to use?
- Each square is one stitch on the canvas, so the chart shows where each colour goes.
- Which chart is for black and white?
- The symbol chart, where each square carries a black symbol.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
