The salwar is the trouser of the salwar kameez, worn across Punjab, Pakistan and North India, cut from the straight pant to the deeply pleated Patiala. These are cutting diagrams of the leg pieces, the kali or gusset, the nada waistband and the ankle cuff. The three cuts are a Patiala, a churidar cut on the bias, and a dhoti salwar with a draped front. Type a different cut and it is a request, not a guaranteed picture.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the nada?
- The nada is the drawstring that runs through the waistband. The sheet draws the channel it passes through.
- What is the kali?
- The kali, or gusset, is one of the pieces drawn on the cutting diagram, with its own measurement.
- Which cut is the Patiala?
- The first picture: a very wide leg piece folded into many pleats at the ankle, with the pleat lines dotted.
- Can I ask for a palazzo?
- Yes, by typing it as a direction. That is a request; the nine pictures show the three cuts above.
About toile
This page is a showcase and a starting point: nine samples already rendered, three readings of the pack crossed with three styles, each shown at the size and ratio it was made for. Take any of them further on the wall with a few words, or ask for all nine again under your own direction; a sign-in keeps what you make, and it is free while Toile is new. The recipe behind each sample — the subject, the style, the palette, the framing — travels with the image rather than staying private to the render: it is in the alt text of every sample and in the page's own structured data, so a search engine reads the same handles a person would.
